RECREATION PROGRAM SUPERVISOR School year

RSU5 Community Programs is accepting applications for a part-time Assistant (up to 16 hours per week). This position reports directly to the Recreation Coordinator. Work is performed primarily during after school hours with some evening and weekend hours required based on department needs. This is an immediate need for a temporary school-year position for the 2018-2019 school year. There is a potential for additional summer hours as well.

The employee in this position instructs youth programs that vary depending upon season, assists with special events and activities; and occasionally transports program participants to events. This position may be called upon to assist with the management and maintenance of athletic fields, gymnasiums and restrooms at school and town recreation facilities.

 
The ability to work independently, operate and maintain sports equipment and perform physical work under variable weather conditions is required. Good customer service skills and the ability to work with both youth and parents are also required. A current driver’s license and clean driving record are required. Experience working in a team environment and good computer skills are strongly preferred. 

COMPENSATION:  Hourly rate based on experience. CHRC Required. This position's starting date is flexible.
